Excalibur Saxophone Quartet (ESQ) is an acoustic musical ensemble, which means we do not use pre-recorded “backing tracks” during our performances. This is intentional as we value live musicians! Because of our commitment to live acoustic music, we don’t require power sources, space for speakers, mixers, and hazardous power cords which can become a liability.
Our acoustic commitment provides flexibility for performances both indoors and outdoors as well as a classy, polished look for your event. If we need a rhythm section, it will be live and not a recording.
ESQ’s talented musicians are comprised of four seasoned Bay Area saxophonists who have performed all over the Tampa Bay area with various Jazz Big Bands, Broadway Musical Ensembles, Pop Combo’s and Classical Wind Ensembles for the past 30 years. We are all experienced in performing for weddings, dances, churches, and private events at venues throughout Tampa Bay; Tampa Convention Center, Vinoy Ballroom, Ringling, Safety Harbor Spa Ballroom, The Palladium, Straz, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Art Galleries, private events such as Gasparilla Krewe Balls, and other social service lodge events.
